Operation “Operation Southern Shield” started today March 2nd 2021 and it's going to continue until March through Friday, March 5
During Operation Southern Shield, officers with AZDPS Commercial Vehicle Enforcement are joining forces with the Arizona Department of Transportation, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), and local law enforcement to patrol I-10, I-8, and I-19 in the southern part of the state.
According to AZDPS, “This detail is targeting hazardous material violations, conducting commercial vehicle inspections, maintains awareness for human trafficking, and educating drivers on safe & compliant operation.”
